Greetings Saints,
In my haste to cover as much material as possible during our Sunday Morning
Catechism,I failed to bring out some very important information about "provisional membership status".
Let me explain what this means and who it might serve since it is a very important level of congregational relationship.
Provisional membership follows the same process of catechism but allows a time of "qualified membership status"specifically for new coverts who have been recently baptized, children who are 17 yrs or younger, and anyone receiving redemptive discipline and/or is progressing through a period of restoration.
This level of relationship enjoys the same benefits of "covenant membership" with the exception of having a voice during formal family meetings, financial matters, and the purchase of property or buildings etc.
The provisional status will continue until "confirmed membership" has been attained.
Please feel the liberty to ask questions or share feedback saints.
